Los Angeles Lakers' point guard Steve Blake has been fined $25,000 for cussing at a heckling fan. The fine was announced Tuesday morning by NBA Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, Stu Jackson. The exchange between Blake and the fan occurred when Blake fouled out with about 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of last Friday's game against the Clippers.
Blake has been thrust into the role of starting point guard as a result of the leg injury to Steve Nash. Blake has averaged 5.3 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game. Blake makes $4 million a year after singing a 4 year, $16 million contract with Los Angeles in 2010.
