NBA Insider and CBS Sports Reporter, Ken Berger has reported that new Lakers coach Mike D'Antoni will reach out to Nate McMillan to join his staff as a defensive assistant. Nate McMillan coached alongside D'Antoni in the 2012 and 2008 Summer Olympics. McMillan is known for being a defensive specialist as a former player and as a coach. McMillan is a two time NBA All-Defensive Second Team member, and most recently coached the Portland Trailblazers from 2005-2012.
