Injury Cross

Pau Gasol, who has missed the last five games due to a concussion, participated in shooting drills and played in a 3-on-3 scrimmage at today's morning practice. Gasol has yet to be cleared to return to the court but he will meet with Dr. Vern Williams tomorrow to determine whether or not he will play in tomorrow's game against Miami. Gasol passed the NBA's mandatory concussion tests today and after said "Tomorrow will be a go". The Lakers are 2-3 in the last five games that Gasol has missed. The Lakers will need Gasol's help defensively against the big and skilled frontcourt of Miami.

Steve Blake has not played a in a game for Los Angeles in almost two and a half months. Blake sustained an abdominal strain in early November and has undergone platelet-rich plasma injections and surgery to repair a torn abdominal muscle. Blake played with Gasol in today's 3-on-3 scrimmage but he said he'll see how he feels tomorrow. Blake is still out indefinitely.

Earl Clark sat out of today's practice with gastroenteritis (stomach flu) and is listed as questionable for tomorrow's game against the Heat.

Here is a short video, posted by Lakers Reporter Mike Trudell, of Gasol and Blake's 3-on-3 scrimmage.
